From India’s Carpet City to Dallas, Texas
A 50-year family legacy of handmade rug craftsmanship, refined through generations of Indian artisans and now brought directly to luxury homes, designers, and retailers across the United States.
For over 50 years, our family’s journey in handmade rugs has been built on craftsmanship, tradition, and dedication. From processing raw wool in India to creating luxury handmade rugs for homes and designers worldwide, Luxia Rugs carries forward a legacy started by our late father, Sabir Ali.
It all began with our late father, Sabir Ali, whose story started from the very foundation of the rug industry — processing raw wool by hand and selling it locally. Through dedication and unmatched craftsmanship, he expanded into buying and trading wool before moving into carpet manufacturing in Bhadohi, India.
Later, he moved to Jaipur, where he became a highly skilled carpet finishing artisan, preparing rugs for exporters around the world. His craftsmanship, attention to detail, and finishing expertise made every rug export-ready and truly exceptional.
Over time, our brothers joined the journey, helping continue the family tradition. For decades, we created and finished rugs for exporters behind the scenes. Today, through Luxia Rugs, we proudly bring our craftsmanship directly to homeowners, interior designers, retailers, and luxury spaces worldwide.
